Egashira Michiro is a Japanese screenwriter from Kobe City who works for Dream Plus Corporation. She has been a president of the theater company Clock Girls since 2008. Her major works include "Gokusen", "1 liter tears" and others.
Her father is a literary critic Matsubara Shinichi. She belonged to the theater department at high school.
After graduating from high school, she worked various part-time jobs such as a seller at a station shop. When she applied for the first time to the Yomiuri Golden Scenario Award (sponsored by Yomiuri Television) she won the award in 1982. The content was a suspense depicting the foolishness of the Examination War.
In 1990, she made a scriptwriter debut with a suspense drama 'Life Consultation Murder Case'.
